Too Obsessive to Blog?

Today I'll try 5 minutes...starting now.

I don't want to let this blog take over, but I'm seriously spending far too much time on this and my other blog -- and I'm not really writing much.  I've been playing with fonts and layouts, learning about advertising, and editing the posts that I've already written.  I might be a little too obsessive for this whole blogging thing. 

I've learned a lot about this new world of blogging, but that's exactly what it feels like -- a whole separate, new world.  I need to be a bit more disciplined about writing in my blog and stop myself from simply logging in to look at it critically and change stuff.  Kind of defeats the purpose of having a blog if you're not going to write in it, right?  I'm a newbie.

Do others experience this same phenomena when they first start blogging?  I've checked out some great blogs and they are well written (with lots of content to choose from)...I wonder if those bloggers started out like me and just became better as they became accustomed to this form of expression.  I hope so.  I'm feeling a little (lot) intimidated.  (Though I am pleased with the "look" of my blogs. That's a start, I guess).  Time's up.
